Etymology: < Monday n. + -ized suffix. Compare earlier Mondayizing n. and slightly later Mondayize v.
New Zealand.
Of a public holiday: transferred to the following Monday when it would normally occur during a weekend.

1964 Dominion (Wellington, N.Z.) 17 June 7 This was the real Anzac day, and not a mondayized day which may have to be adopted.
1998 Waikato Times (Hamilton, N.Z.) (Nexis) 10 Dec. 17 Even if an employer pays its employees more than they would usually receive for working on the Mondayised day, the employees will still be entitled to a paid day in lieu.
