A member of the Ganda (or Baganda) people; a native or inhabitant of the kingdom of Buganda on the north-west shore of Lake Victoria, now part of Uganda. Hence: any native or inhabitant of Uganda.The kingdom of Buganda as a semi-autonomous province within Uganda was abolished in 1967, but restored in 1993.
