Etymology: < Diyari (South Australia) (and related languages) manyurra.

Either of two small succulent plants of the family Portulacaceae, Calandrinia balonensis (also called parakeelya), and (now usually) purslane, Portulaca oleracea. Also: a paste made from the ground-up seeds of either of these plants mixed with water, formerly used as food by Australian Aboriginal people.
