Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; modelled on a French lexical item. Etymons: myco- comb. form, -phile comb. form.
Etymology: < myco- comb. form + -phile comb. form, after French mycophile (1885).
An enthusiast for mushrooms and other (esp. edible) fungi; a person fond of eating mushrooms. Also occasionally as adj.: = mycophilic adj.
