Etymology: < myelo- comb. form + -genous comb. form, after German myelogen (in myelogene Leukämie; 1867 in Arch. f. Pathol. Anat. u. Physiol. 40 286 (title)). Compare French myélogène (1878).
Medicine.
= myeloid adj. Frequently in myelogenous leukaemia.
