释义 | myo-inositoln. Biochemistry. (Usually with myo- italicized.) The most common of the isomers of inositol, which is a member of the vitamin B complex and is present in plant and animal tissue, esp. muscle, often in phosphorylated form. Also called meso-inositol. Chem. 16 1241 It is suggested that, since the substance [sc. meso-inositol] was first discovered in muscle..and was at one time called ‘muscle sugar’, it is better called myo-inositol. 1976 Ann. Clin. Res. 8 374 Plasma, red-cell and cerebrospinal fluid concentrations of myoinositol were increased in all the patients treated conservatively. 1987 C. M. F. Simpson et al. in A. J. Turner & H. S. Bachelard Neurochem. vii. 223 The loss of scyllo-inositol and myo-inositol is similar under these reaction conditions.
