Etymology: < Dharuk (Sydney region) ngarang little, younger.Compare the following evidence of the Dharuk word interpreted as a noun:1790 J. Hunter Hist. Jrnl. Trans. Port Jackson (1793) 409 Narrong, any thing small.

In Australian Aboriginal usage: little, small.
