Origin: A borrowing from Italian. Etymon: Italian negroni.
Etymology: < Italian negroni (first half of 20th cent.) < the name of Count Camillo Negroni, the Italian aristocrat who is believed to have invented the drink in the 1930s.
A drink made from gin, vermouth, and Campari.
