Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French néo-grec.
Etymology: < French néo-grec (1867 as adjective in the fine arts; 1845–6 in sense ‘relating to modern Greek’) < néo- neo- comb. form + grec Greek adj. Compare Italian neogreco (1876 as adjective).
