Origin: Probably formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: nomad n., -ization suffix.
Etymology: Probably < nomad n. + -ization suffix. Compare nomadize v. (first attested slightly later in the relevant sense). N.E.D. (1907) gives the pronunciation as (nǫ·mădəizēi·ʃən) /nɒmədaiˈzeɪʃən/, with short vowel in the first syllable. Compare discussion s.v. nomad n. and adj.
