Etymology: < French noceur (1834) < nocer to celebrate, carouse (mid 19th cent.; late 12th cent. in Old French in sense ‘to marry’; < noce , noces : see noces n.) + -eur -er suffix1.Not fully naturalized in English.
A reveller; a rake, a libertine; a person who stays up late at night.
