Etymology: < nocti- comb. form + ambulator n. or its etymon classical Latin ambulātor, perhaps after noctambulation n. Compare later noctambulate v. Compare earlier noctambulo n., noctambulant n., noctambulist n., noctambule n., and also earlier somnambulator n. at somn- comb. form .
