Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; probably partly modelled on a German lexical item. Etymons: noso- comb. form, -graphy comb. form.
Etymology: < noso- comb. form + -graphy comb. form. In later use probably after German Nosographie (1845 in the passage translated in quot. 1847). Compare French nosographie (1798).
