Or (ii) a borrowing from Occitan, combined with an English element; modelled on a French lexical item. Or (iii) a borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element; modelled on a French lexical item. Etymons: French occitan , Occitan occitan ; Latin occitanus ; -ic suffix.
