Etymology: < Od n.2 + -ic suffix, after German odisch (K. von Reichenbach 1845, in Ann. der Chem. u. Pharm. 53 240). Compare odylic adj.
Now chiefly historical.
Of or relating to the hypothetical force Od (see Od n.2).
