1995 Daily Tel. 17 July 27/2 When the Stock Exchange finally kills off its Rule 4.2 trading on September 29 to clear the way for its new Alternative Investment Market, a replacement will start. It is called Ofex and will cost a fraction of the charges for Aim.
1997 What Investm. Mar. 18/1 OFEX is quite separate to AIM. It is not a regulated market in itself, but a mechanism whereby London Stock Exchange member firms can effect matched business ‘off exchange’ in the shares of certain unquoted companies.
2001 Financial Times 27 Jan. (Money section) 11/1 Unquoted companies that are raising new finance..can include companies listed on the Alternative Investment Market, the junior exchange, and Ofex, the market for unquoted companies.
