Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymons: Latin omnipresent-, omnipresens.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin omnipresent-, omnipresens (in scholastic and later use; 1344 in Bradwardine; also as omnipraesens ) < classical Latin omni- omni- comb. form + praesēns present adj. Compare slightly later omnipresence n. and later omnipresency n.
Present in all places at the same time; widely or continually encountered; widespread. (Chiefly of God.)
