A dinosaur belonging to the order Ornithischia, one of two basic divisions of Dinosauria, comprising herbivorous dinosaurs distinguished by a pelvic structure like that of birds and including the stegosaurs, ankylosaurs, ornithopods, pachycephalosaurs, and ceratopsians. Cf. saurischian adj.
