Etymology: < osteo- comb. form + -oma comb. form, after scientific Latin osteoma (1844 or earlier).
Pathology.
A tumour of bone; spec. a well-circumscribed benign tumour composed of compact or trabecular bone, usually occurring in a bone of the skull.osteoid osteoma: see osteoid n. 2.
