Etymology: < osteo- comb. form + -plasty comb. form, after German Osteoplastie (1860 or earlier). Compare French ostéoplastie (1853 or earlier), and German Osteoplastik (1864 or earlier).
Surgery.
Reparative or reconstructive surgery of the bones; bone grafting; an instance of this.
