Etymology: < Orcagna, the nickname (also Orgagna, Arcagnuolo) of Andrea di Cione (c1308–68), Florentine painter, sculptor, and architect + -esque suffix.
Relating to, in the style of, or resembling the subject matter of the work of Andrea di Cione, esp. in the Byzantine Gothic tradition. Now rare.
