Etymology: < post-classical Latin otalgia earache (1517 or earlier) < Hellenistic Greek ὠταλγία < ancient Greek ὠτο- oto- comb. form + -αλγία -algia comb. form. Compare Middle French, French otalgie (1578).
Medicine.
Pain in the ear; earache.
