释义 | otoscopen. Medicine. 1. Originally: an instrument resembling a stethoscope, used to listen for the sound of air in the middle ear or Eustachian tube (now rare or disused). Later (in full acoustic otoscope): an instrument that measures sound reflected from the tympanic membrane, used chiefly to detect fluid in the middle ear.
