1882 Ogilvie's Imperial Dict. (new ed.) at Inbond A term applied to a brick or stone laid lengthwise across a wall: opposed to outbond, where the brick or stone is laid with its length parallel to the face of the wall. An inbond and outbond wall is one where the bricks or stones are laid alternately across and in the direction of the face of the wall.
