/bᵻˈnab/, U.S. /bəˈnæb/, Caribbean English /bɪˈnab/ In Guyana: a triangular or rectangular structure made from a framework of palm branches or poles and covered with palm leaves.Benabs were originally constructed as temporary shelters by the indigenous peoples of Guyana, but the term is also used more generally of permanent structures.
