Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin pāgina.
Etymology: < classical Latin pāgina written page, piece of writing (see page n.2). N.E.D. (1904) gives the pronunciation as (pæ·dʒină) /ˈpædʒɪnə/.

The surface of a leaf or (rarely) other plant organ.
