释义 | pantelleriten. Geology. A peralkaline variety of rhyolite containing phenocrysts of anorthoclase, cossyrite, and other minerals in a dark green to black groundmass. ΚΠ 1890 Cent. Dict. 4263/1 Pantellerite, the name given by Förstner to a rock occurring on the island of Pantelleria... It is intermediate in composition between dacite and liparite, and more or less trachytic in character. 1895 A.
