1959 J. W. Freebody Telegr. xvii. 671/2 Paragutta, which has a specific capacitance of 2·6, eventually replaced gutta percha for the insulation of more modern cables.

1977 C. C. Barnes Submarine Telecommunication & Power Cables ii. 18 The modified rubber admixed with special waxes resulted in Paragutta and K-Gutta, and these were used for several small submarine cable projects.
