Etymology: Apparently < pano- (in panoramic adj., etc.) + -graphic comb. form, probably after radiographic adj.1Forms in pana- are frequent in this word and the related panograph n. and panography n., suggesting that the etymology from panoramic adj. and related words (if correct) early became opaque.
Dentistry.
Of, relating to, or designating a radiographic technique that uses a miniature X-ray source inside the mouth and a film outside it to produce a view of the teeth and both jaws.
