The nave of old St Paul's Cathedral, known esp. as a meeting place for gossipmongers and idlers in the 16th and 17th centuries.Old St Paul's was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. The name Paul's Walk now designates a riverside path along part of the Thames in London.
