Etymology: < classical Latin pēior worse (see pejorate v.) + -ity suffix. Compare post-classical Latin peioritas inferiority (c1250 in a British source). N.E.D. (1904) gives the pronunciation as (pĭǫ·rĭti) /pɪˈdʒɒrɪtɪ/.
Obsolete. rare.
