Biochemistry.
Any compound in which two or more amino acids are linked together, typically in a linear sequence, the carboxyl group of each acid usually being joined to the amino group of the next.According to the number of amino-acid residues, peptides are classed as dipeptides, tripeptides, etc., oligopeptides, or polypeptides.
