Anat. 77 282 It is proposed that in analogy to cholinergic, adrenergic and aminergic neurones those nerve cells which synthesize octapeptide hormones should be termed peptidergic neurones. It is further suggested to speak of peptidergic synapses if the terminals of such neurones are establishing contact with cells of an endocrine organ.
