Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin per curiam.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin per curiam by action of the court (c1400 in Law French context) < classical Latin per per prep. + cūriam , accusative of cūria , in its post-classical Latin sense ‘court’ (see curia n.).
