Etymology: < classical Latin perfractus, past participle of perfringere to break through, to break (laws) < per- per- prefix + frangere to break (see fragment n.).
Obsolete. rare.
Perhaps: having broken or transgressed laws or rules. In quot. as n. (with plural agreement): perfract people as a class.
