1671 W. Annand Mysterium Pietatis 101 On the same day next year, he fed the five thousand with five loaves, and two fishes, wherefore they called it Phagiphania.

1877 Globe Encycl. II. 563/1 Epiphany... It is observed on the 6th January..and now commemorates specially the guiding of the three magi to Bethlehem..but originally also..the manifestation of his divinity at his baptism (Theophany), in his first miracle at Cana (Bethphany), and in that of feeding the 5000 men (Phagiphany).

1998 G. P. Kipling Enter the King 131 Bede..thinks that the miracle of the loaves and fishes should be known as Christ's Phagiphany.
