Etymology: < ancient Greek ϕλύαρος silly talk, nonsense (probably < ϕλύειν to boil over, to babble (see phlycten n.), although the formation is unclear) + -logist comb. form. Compare ancient Greek ϕλυαρολογία nonsense.
Obsolete.
A person who talks nonsense.Apparently an isolated use.
