Etymology: < pig n.2 + -er suffix1. Sc. National Dict. s.v. Pig n.2 records the word as still in use in north-eastern Scotland in 1965.
Scottish. Now rare.
A person who makes or sells earthen pots or jars; = pigman n.2 Cf. pig n.2 1a.
