Origin: A borrowing from French. Etymon: French plastique.
Etymology: < French plastique plastic n. With sense 3 compare earlier plastiqueur n. and plasticate v. 2. N.E.D. (1907) gives the non-naturalized pronunciation (plastī·k) /plaˈstik/.
1. Statuesque poses or slow graceful movements in dancing; the art or technique of performing these. Also in extended use.
