Origin: Formed within English, by clipping or shortening. Etymon: proper name Paul Lipschutz.
Etymology: Shortened < the name of Paul Lipschutz, French inventor who designed the system in 1978.
A remote control automatic locking system on a motor vehicle. Frequently attributive.
