释义 | Politburon. The highest policy-making committee of a communist party or country, esp. of the Soviet Union. Also in extended use.The Soviet Politburo was originally formed in October 1917, was disbanded after the Bolsheviks gained power, and was re-formed in March 1919. Thereafter, it exercised supreme control over the Soviet government, except in the years 1952–66, when it was replaced by the Presidium (cf. Presidium n.).
