/ˈpɒkəˌnɒkᵻt/, U.S. /ˈpɑkəˌnɑkət/ A member of a group of Eastern Algonquian-speaking peoples of eastern Rhode Island and south-eastern Massachusetts.Their surviving descendants are called Wampanoag.
