Etymology: Apparently shortened < pornographer n. Compare porno adj. and porno n.1Although quot. 1969 refers to events in Germany, German Porno is not attested in this sense. The books of G. Grass were referred to in a German article of August 1969 as Porno-Bücher pornographic books (compare porno adj.).
