Etymology: < pot n.1 + sticker n.2, after Chinese guōtiēr < guō pot, pan, boiler, cauldron + tiē paste, stick, glue + -r, nominalizing suffix.
North American.
A filled dumpling, typically crescent-shaped, esp. one that is pan-fried until brown on one side, then turned and simmered in a small amount of broth.
