Origin: Of multiple origins. Partly a borrowing from French. Partly a borrowing from Latin. Etymons: French prestimonial; Latin praestimonialis.
Etymology: < French prestimonial (1703 in the passage translated in quot. 1706 in portions prestimoniales (plural)) and its etymon post-classical Latin praestimonialis (a1254 in praestimonialis portio ; 1541 in a British source; < praestimonium prestimony n. + classical Latin -ālis -al suffix1). Compare later prestimony n.

Of or relating to a prestimony.
