Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin prōclīnātus.
Etymology: < classical Latin prōclīnātus sloping or leaning forward, use as adjective of past participle of prōclīnāre to cause to lean forward, to incline (see procline v.). Compare reclinate adj.
Entomology.
Of a bristle: that slants or inclines forwards.
