Origin: Formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: produced adj., -ness suffix.
Etymology: < produced adj. + -ness suffix. Compare unproducedness n.In quot. 1862, the phrase producedness of a thing by that person is used to translate Sanskrit pauruṣeyatva (noun), derivative of pauruṣeya (adjective) relating to a person, made by a person, ultimately < puruṣa person (see Purusha n.).
Buddhism (rare).
The condition of being or having been produced. Cf. unproducedness n.
