Biology.
Any of various bacteria belonging to the genus Pseudomonas or to other genera now or formerly classified in the family Pseudomonadaceae or the order Pseudomonadales.Some bacteria which resemble Pseudomonas in ecological or physiological characteristics are now thought to be rather distantly related phylogenetically, but are still sometimes referred to as ‘pseudomonads’.
