Medicine.
An inflammatory disorder of the skin seen chiefly in association with ulcerative colitis and other systemic diseases, characterized by irregular, spreading ulcers, usually on the legs and trunk, showing neutrophilic infiltration of the dermis without bacterial infection.

1974 R. Passmore & J. S. Robson Compan. Med. Stud. III. xix. 102/2 A rare skin lesion which is almost specific for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease is pyoderma gangrenosum; intra-epidermal bulla form and contain clear fluid which soon becomes milky and frankly purulent, but is sterile.
