Origin: From a proper name, combined with an English element; perhaps modelled on a Latin lexical item. Etymons: proper name Pyrrhōn- , Pyrrhō , -ical suffix.
Etymology: < classical Latin Pyrrhōn-, Pyrrhō (see Pyrrhonian n.) + -ical suffix, perhaps after post-classical Latin Pyrrhonicus (see Pyrrhonic n.). Compare earlier Pyrrhonic n. and later Pyrrhonic adj.
